What is the Visa Waiver Program?
The Visa Waiver Program allows citizens of some countries to visit United States for periods of up to 90 days without a visa. Currently the Visa Waiver countries are: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Netherlands, Portugal, United Kingdom, San Marino, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.

Non-machine readable passports may be used to enter the United States only and exclusively if they contain a US visa. Applications for a US visa must be addressed to American foreign consulates or embassies well in advance of your journey.
